About Me

I am a "mommy" to a 12-year old spoiled Scottish Terrier named Shadows.  I named him after my all-time favorite TV show, the cult classic Dark Shadows (1966-1971).

On a serious note, I am Phi Theta Kappan who has loved to read since Iwas a child. I developed the desire to write at the age of 15 when my aunt gave me my first journal, telling me to fill it with my thoughts and feelings about what was going on in my life at that time.  I took that writing a step farther and started writing down what went on in that "little world" of mine, as my father called it; the world of romance, mystery, intrigue, and comedy.

I started writing poetry when my father passed away in 2006. It wasn't until I was in my thirties and attending the neighborhood community college did I start to share my writings, thanks to my English professors.My writings have appeared numerously in literary journals. My biggest fans are my mother, Shadows, and the Lord.


 I  also always felt having a library card was like having a passport to travel to another world or time. I decided to blog about the books I read to help others find books they might like to read themselves.  You can find those blogs at http://myreadingrainbow-theresa.blogspot.com/
